To keep the ridge line centered on the structure and have 2 eaves at different heights with identical overhangs you would have to have 2 different roof slopes.

Use it to extend the dormer roof to the main roof. Rather than adjusting the overhang i can adjust the height effectively the bearing height of that edge of the roof. Click finish edit mode. Use the align eaves tool to realign eave heights of different boundary lines of a roof.
