How to remove vinyl or linoleum floors.
Removing vinyl flooring from wood subfloor.
Use a flat pry bar and long handled floor scraper to scrape up all the vinyl tiles.
Scrape away the linoleum or vinyl and glue with a wide putty knife utility knife brick chisel paint scraper hammer.
Use a cordless impact driver to remove all the screws.
Cut out the subfloor and linoleum or vinyl flooring as one piece.

Get rid of the glue.
Not a fun job.
Starting at a threshold use a wood chisel and wide stiff blade putty knife to pop loose one vinyl tile.
With a plywood subfloor you have two choices.
Discard the old tiles.
Use the flat end of the pry bar to chip away at the glue underneath the vinyl.
Cut into 12 inch strips.
Next locate a section of the floor with no glue underneath.
