Removing Double Sided Tape From Carpet

If you have carpet tape or residue on your wood floors try to remove as much of the carpet tape as you can before hand.

Hold the blow dryer 6 8 inches 15 20 cm away from the double sided tape for 30 seconds which will help loosen the adhesive. Let it set on the carpet for 15 minutes.

It can help to use a plastic scraper or credit card to get up the edge if needed. When it has loosened carefully peel up a corner of the tape. Move the hairdryer over the length of the tape evenly. Next dab the wd 40 onto the remaining adhesive.

The problems many homeowners encounter are after the carpet has been removed and the hardwood is exposed.
