Remove Laminate Countertop Stains

Laminate s biggest risk for damage comes from hot objects which stain by burning the surface. Just wipe up quickly or treat with a baking soda and water paste if residue persists. Apply a small amount of nail polish remover acetone to a cotton pad and rub the stain a few times. Apply a baking soda paste to the stain stubborn stains on countertops can be frustrating but they don t have to be permanent.

Merry maids says to spread the paste over the stain and let it sit for 5 minutes. Vinegar is an acid that dissolves rust and baking soda is mildly corrosive and abrasive enough to make a safe scrubbing agent. Then wipe the laminate countertop with a damp microfiber cloth. Once a laminate countertop is scratched it becomes more porous and will stain much easier.

Check the label and make sure any product you use is recommended for laminate countertops. You may have to give it the same treatment with a dishwasher detergent if it still persists. For incredibly tough stains leave the baking soda paste on the stain overnight and wipe off in the morning. Remove rust stains from a countertop using vinegar or baking soda but don t mix them together.

How to clean it. Then rinse the laminate countertop thoroughly and wipe dry. Laminate countertops are nonporous so rust stains usually come off easily.
