Remove dried acrylic paint from carpet.
Even on old dried paint that has been on carpet for long periods of time.
It took most of a day to do one room but a lot of that involved waiting for products to do their job or waiting for the carpet to dry.
Scrap the spot to remove any tangible dry paint.
Does this work for gloss paint.
It works on everything from latex to acrylic paints.
Still it would take several months if not a year to save up the money to buy new carpeting.
Blot the stain with dry paper towels to clean up any excess wet paint sitting on top of the carpet.
Dry blot the stain.
Admittedly it was a lot of work getting all the old stains including the dried paint out of my carpet.
You may also use a putty knife or a citrus cleaner like goo gone to scrap the stain.
Blot the affected area using a clean cloth to pick up all the dried paint lifted through scrapping.
Using a plastic spray bottle mix 1 teaspoon of mild liquid soap for every cup of warm water.
Although dried on acrylic paint is harder to remove than a fresh spill you still want to work on it sooner rather than later.
Start by scraping away as much of the dried paint as possible with a razor blade or paint scraper.
